INTRODUCTION

 

This July, in the remarkable energy of the Fire Horse year, I invite you to a 4-week journey to balance the Element of Fire in your life.


Fire is the rhythm of summer.
Fire symbolises warmth, joy, intimacy, laughter, connection, passion, radiance and consciousness.
It’s the hearth fire that gathers community, the sunlight that nourishes life, the spark that reminds us we’re still alive, still becoming, still capable of love, creativity and renewal.

And yet, during menopause, Fire can become difficult to manage.
You may feel overheated, restless, anxious, emotionally raw, unable to sleep, easily overwhelmed, disconnected from joy, or unsure how to protect your energy in a world that feels increasingly intense.

From a Five Element perspective, this is often the dance of Fire and Water, Yang and Yin.

As our watery Yin energy becomes depleted or less available, our active more fiery Yang can rise unchecked. This may show up as hot flushes, night sweats, insomnia, palpitations, irritability, emotional volatility, a sense of being “too much” and exhausted at the same time.

The invitation is to honour the fire, tend it wisely and not allow it to burn out or extinguish.

The Heart: Igniting the Inner Sun

The Compassionate Emperor, Restoring Joy, Spirit and Inner Sovereignty

The Heart is the Emperor of the body.

It houses “the Shen”, the spirit of the Heart, seen in the light of the eyes, the clarity of speech, the quality of sleep, and the capacity for joy.

In menopause, the Heart may feel unsettled. Sleep may become disturbed. Anxiety may rise. Palpitations, brain fog, emotional sensitivity or loss of enthusiasm may appear.

This class will help you calm and nourish the Heart, reconnect with joy, and ask:

The Heart Protector: Guarding the Sacred Flame

The Minister of Joy, Boundaries, Intimacy and Emotional Safety

The Heart Protector, also known as the Pericardium or Circulation-Sex meridian, is the sacred gatekeeper of the Heart.

It helps us open and close wisely.

It governs intimacy, pleasure, touch, protection, circulation and emotional safety.

In menopause, many women become more sensitive, more discerning, less willing to overgive, and more aware of where their heart has been armoured, exposed or exhausted.

This class will explore how to create loving boundaries, soften protective armour, and ask:

The Small Intestine: Finding the Clear Path

The Alchemist of Truth, Clarity, Discernment and Meaning

The Small Intestine separates the clear from the turbid.

It helps us digest food, experience, emotion, information and truth.

In menopause, many women begin sorting their whole lives. Relationships, roles, identities, beliefs and obligations come under review. What once felt tolerable may no longer feel true.

Brain fog may be asking us to stop processing everyone else’s noise and return to inner knowing.

This class will support clarity, gut wisdom and spiritual discernment, asking:

What nourishes me now, and what am I ready to release?

The Triple Heater: Becoming the Hearth

The Keeper of Balance, Resilience, Adaptation and Integration

The Triple Heater is the great coordinator.

It regulates the three burners, the chest, the digestive centre and the lower abdomen. It supports metabolism, immunity, temperature regulation, stress response, adaptation and homeostasis.

In menopause, Triple Heater often works hard. Hot flushes, disrupted sleep, adrenal stress, nervous system activation, immune sensitivity and emotional overwhelm all speak to this deeper need for regulation.

This final class will help you restore coherence between body, mind, heart and belly, asking:

How can I remain steady while everything is changing?
